zoeboi954 Posted May 17, 2015 Report Posted May 17, 2015 (read carefully, try not to confuse mr and mb) All right i have prv mr600-ndy speakers and i plan on running 3 speakers in each front door 2 midrange (mr600-ndy) and 1 midbass now i cant decide to go with prv mb600 or mb500-ndy reason why i am having trouble is because the mb500-ndy has a lower resonant frequency and lower qts but the mb600 can take more power but its frequency response is smaller than the midrange mr600-ndy...... or am i over thinking this and just say fuck it and go all mr600-ndy heres the specs for the speaker midrange mr600-ndy http://www.prvaudio.com/pdf/8MR600-NDY-Datasheet.pdf midbass mb600 http://www.prvaudiobrazil.com/pdf/8MB600_Datasheet.pdf midbass mb500-ndy http://www.prvaudiobrazil.com/pdf/8MB500-NDY.pdf the sub im using are the 4 Fi q heres the build so far http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/190658-the-first-prius-with-4-12s/ 4 Fi Q 12s In A Prius on 4 Crescendo BC2000D?! gckless Posted May 18, 2015 Report Posted May 18, 2015 How are you crossing them?i was thinking 60hz around there No, how are you crossing them? No reason to use three different drivers if you aren't going to cross them at appropriate frequencies. "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. I dont know the offical setting till i get it and tune it towards my liking.. i want the midrange to take care of the vocal and up the midbass take care of the kick but i still want them to both blend to take care whats in the middle.. also im thinking of running a digital signal processor but dont know if its really needed or not. bare with me this is my first actual big system so i'm learning as i go 4 Fi Q 12s In A Prius on 4 Crescendo BC2000D?! 81000D Posted May 20, 2015 Report Posted May 20, 2015 I think what he meant was what are you crossing each speaker at. Like midbass 60hrz_200hrz, midrange 200hrz-3500hrz, tweeter at 3500hrz-20000hrz. Correct me if I'm wrong.
