KICKERKX1200
i called kicker to get port specs on 4 L7 12's. it was going to be a one divider box with two subs on each side with ports in the center. this is going to be a blow through in a 2003 ranger. box was going to be around 14.5cf gross. well Jeremy at kicker suggested that i go with a bandpass box that is 2.6cf per sub and two ported sections that are 5.4cf with i think 125si of port 13.25ci long. what would you suggest, i have never had any exp. with bandpass enclosures. please help

jonathancullen89
i personally do not like the sound of bandpass. i have never heard a true custom built one but all the others ive heard tended to get really peaky at certain fq's and stay the same volume once maxed out, even if you turned it up more. but then again that might be just the boxes i have heard. good luck 1992 cavalier build 1992 blazer s10 kenwood cd hifonics hfi2500d 6 soon to be 12 12" hifonics hfi12d4's shit ton-o-wire Blurred Vision Audio Team SMD feedback/refs. clicky!-
KICKERKX1200
kicker said it peaked at 67hz but it would play low notes as well. im leaning to standard ported unless i here diff from alot of people
