WE-B-THPN Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 Ok I have 4 2 ohm p3s 12 and I ha e a chance to buy 2 more but they are 4 ohm is there a safe way to wire up the six with 4 2ohm and 2 4ohm probably can't but I thought I would still ask
Triticum Agricolam Posted June 30, 2015 Report Posted June 30, 2015 There is no way to wire them up so they all will receive equal power. "Nothing prevents people from knowing the truth more than the belief they already know it.""Making bass is easy, making music is the hard part."Builds:
WE-B-THPN Posted June 30, 2015 Author Report Posted June 30, 2015 Alright I figured I was just hoping there was a way Thanks!
mrazandrewm Posted July 4, 2015 Report Posted July 4, 2015 There is no way to wire them up so they all will receive equal power. Would this actually work? For final impedance of 0.5 or 2 ohm, wire all four of your 2 ohm dvc subs to 1 ohm (see this link (use option 1)) and wire your two 4 ohm dvc subs to 1 ohm (matching the final impedance of your 2 ohm dvc subs (see link here (use option 1)). Then you can wire your two groups/sets of 1 ohm subs to 0.5 ohm by using option 1 in this link or 2 ohms by using option 2 in the last link. You can match the impedance of the 4 sub side with the 2 sub side but power is divided into 4 drivers in one side while it is divided into two in the other, as a result individual drivers on the 4 side would receive half as much power as in the two drivers side.

Oh. Alright. So let's say he's running a 4000rms amp. The power is split in half to side A and side B. Then side A is split between 4 subs (500 RMS each). And side B is split between 2 subssubs (1000 RMS each). Is that correct?
