mrwigglezdj
resin is britle alone, but with the matt its tough and rigid, i would use the matt as well, and paint the glass work when you are done... it will take some sanding and mud to make it as smooth as glass either way you go... mrwigglezdj
then to not beat around the bush , hes shit out of luck, you cant have the best of both worlds without useing the proper items... i learned the hard way on some pods you have to use matt for the resin to hold up or after a few days/weeks it will fall apart from the use and vibrations, if he dont want to do it correct then why bother with it at all?.... it doesnt take that much more effort to apply 2-3 layers of matt or chop matt Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets

ptcary
Wondering can I put resin on the outside of a box, just resin not kitty hair or mat, I wanna make it look smooth and not soak up all the paint...gonna paint the box the color of my dad's caddy. This is for him btw, he can get resin at work for "free" 55gal drum, think it would be worth it?Would it crack if no glass is used? Any help is appreciated. -Will Will, Check out the box in the response my resin question post. I was going to do the same with my pods, but no need, sand, primer and paint can make a great finish. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=19822 Edited April 10, 2008 by ptcary PTCary 2003 SMD PT Cruiser 2011 Honda CBR 250R 2010 Mazda 3i Sport MY BUILD LOG
