baron_of_bass
The Ampere 3800 is our old 3500D v.1 board -- the v.2 is really nothing like that anymore Well... That escalated quickly ? Quote Team Bass-Hz
cocoleveo7686
so if you wire to .5 ohms your amp never really sees .5 after box rise?
baron_of_bass
so if you wire to .5 ohms your amp never really sees .5 after box rise? That's right, the point of wiring lower is to keep the impedance closer to the amps highest output after box rise. The box rise all depends on the box though. Some people get very little box rise, which in most cases is a good thing, and for others it can rise a few ohms. Quote Team Bass-Hz

Miguels
You don't want to wire an amp below manufacturer rating. The amp will fail sooner or later and will not be covered under warranty. For a few extra watts and the cost of electrical to support it is not worth it. Better off buying a bigger amp if you want more power Quote my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
