Lite203 Posted July 30, 2015 Report Posted July 30, 2015 I plan on doing a new build with 4 Sa-8 V.3 D4's and I just wanted to get a few box ideas. I saw a few ported boxes that are forward firing, ported to the passenger side and build underneath the rear fold up seat but in kind of skeptical because it doesn't seem like it'd be enough airspace, so I was questioning just removing the seat and building the box nice and big, but I'm not too sure.
Lite203 Posted July 30, 2015 Author Report Posted July 30, 2015 So I've done some thinking and I want to try to keep the backseat in, but I might be able to raise it up a couple inches to help with airspace. Make some custom brackets probably. There should be enough room behind the seat for the amps I'd like to mount. Now just to figure out where the port should go then a box design. I'll measure the max dims when I get home and will post them on here. I've build probably 30 sealed enclosures but never a ported one so some help would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure I want a foward facing port, possibly out the side of the box if that would work? Or out both sides and put in a 2 layer divider? I'm not even sure.
