Adding more power may makes things louder but at what cost, 1200 watts to a 600 watt sub. And i know you seen people throw 2-4 times rated power at them all over the web so take that with a grain a salt. If you know what you are doing and depending on box and other factors it may work but is it worth it for daily. If you want louder, worry about box or changing out subs first. After a while adding more power results in diminishing returns.
