I did it for several months in OK's hot ass summer with no real problems. just gotta pay attention. O'Reilly's has some nice duralast platinum AGM's that aren't too expensive. You can maybe add a slightly bigger cable but I doubt you can add more cables. I could not find specific details about your truck but I have an 07 Cadillac DTS and I was able to fit 1/0 cable through the current sensor for my ground. I believe it was either knu 1/0 or Stinger. I'll have to check but it was a tight fit. The factory wiring was 2ga iirc Anyways, hopefully you have a similar setup and can add 1 run of 1/0 as I did.
