gmoxley1 Posted August 26, 2015 Report Posted August 26, 2015 So the wire from my battery to starter is getting pretty ragged (wires poking out all over the place). I was wondering if SHCA wire could be used in place of it. Also same with the wire going to the fuse center of the car. Would some 4 ga suffice for these wires? Thanks! Mr DeeBeez Posted August 26, 2015 Report Posted August 26, 2015 I don't see a problem with it. I would use OFC. Quote Fi Team 18's (4) Crossfire 16k Crossfire 400.4 & 800.4 Pioneer AVH-X491bhs 140ah cmax CES 320's (2)
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted August 26, 2015 Report Posted August 26, 2015 Yes you can use it for that I'd use 1/0 though, might as well upgrade if you're going to do it. Get some heat sleeve to protect it. gmoxley1 Posted August 26, 2015 Author Report Posted August 26, 2015 Cool I was thinking 1/0 but I'm not totally sure the 1/0 lugs will fit on the starter and fuse center stud. Obviously using ofc Haha.
