Units typically produce 300 amps at 2000 engine RPMs when used with a 12-volt system and 350 amps when used with 16-volt systems. The SPL alternators are specifically designed for trailer only extreme competition vehicles. Because of the radical design, output at idle is usually 0 and because of additional heat created; these units should not be operated at full output for more than a few minutes. you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.
