SQ'd 6.5" questions

So it's finally time to replace my old, original door speakers. I stumbled upon the Soundqub'd 6.5" pro speakers. How are these as far as performance and reliability? I'm looking for SQ here, but nothing that will break the bank. These will also be power by an amp too.

They get loud easily, and can get peaky if you don't have a good EQ to adjust some frequencies. You may be better off with their component set which is also good, and has a little more midbass. What amp will you be using? What's the rest of your setup like? Head unit, subs, amps, speaker placement, active or passive crossovers?

The headunit is a JVC and it will have a Soundstream amp running them. For subs I have 2 Alpine Type R 12's with a Pyramid Audio amp (for now). These speakers will be residing in the factory door speaker location as well.

Do you have factory tweeters?

2 factory ones on my dash, yes. But I don't really have any plans to replace those unless they shit the bed on me

I would really suggest getting the component set instead of the PA's for that setup. I feel that the PA's will be too peaky and likely overpower those subs. Unless that's what you want.

Here's my two SoundQubed PA's on 90w each, I also have 2600w going to two 12's tuned to 40hz. Just for a sub-power to midrange power comparison.

How are those as far as sound quality?

They sound good to me. But honestly, unless you know someone who has them, or just go buy them yourself (which isn't that much money anyways) you won't know what you're getting. What sounds good to me and others could sound like shit to you. But the component speakers aren't as peaky, have better midbass, and were good for my old 1200w setup. That should be your route if you go with SoundQubed.

Nothing and I mean nothing in your set up is sound quality.... Soundqubed pro audio is the far far from anything sound quality as well

If you are looking for loud and clear almost anything is an upgrade from stock but definitely not SQ please learn how you use audio terminology correctly it help you achieve the answers you are looking for better

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

Not everyone means SQ comp. People like you need to stop making that the only meaning of the term "sound quality". When he asked how is the sound quality, he was asking how is the quality of the sound reproduced by those speakers, which is a very valid question with the terminology he used. Sound quality is more than just what you and cableguy(white lightning) and other SQ competitors do for your vehicles. Everything that reproduces sound has sound quality, some better than others. Now go on somewhere.
