kam311 Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 Hey all, I was a pretty active member of this site for a couple years. Everything I know about car audio I learned here on this forum. I have recently become active in trying to get my system going again and I am in need of opinions and information that my homies here will have. I have two obsidian audio oa12's wired to 1ohm. I had them on a crescendo bc2000and they hit so nice. About a 8 months ago my truck got broken into and they stole my crescendo bc2000. They couldn't get my sub's out, even though they tried. So I still have the subs and the box in my truck. Insurance wasn't much help on replacing my amp. I got the crescendo on sale when it first released and I paid way less than what the amps cost now! I liked the amp but I know I can get similar for cheaper. So now I have a little cash and I am looking into replacing my amp. The two amps that I am deciding between are the soundqubed Q1 1200.2 and the soundqubed Q1 2200.2. The obsidians aren't bad sub's but I imagine that doubling their rms isn't probably the best decision, but they did handle the bc2000 like Champs. 1200w is probably plenty, plus a lot cheaper but we have all been there in this decision. Do any of you have any valuable advice, opinions, or any suggestions for me? I will try to find a link to my old build on here so y'all can see the setup. Thanks guys. Amp suggestions are welcome so far... kam311 Posted October 4, 2015 Author Report Posted October 4, 2015 Thanks for the input, I guess another amp that I am adding to the potential list would meet in the middle of two. The Crescendo s1500.1 seems like a nice amp for the price, I was unaware of the Symphony series. The thing about the Q2200 is that I don't plan on upgrading my electrical, and I have a feeling it is underrated. I am looking for a nice daily set up. While reading on here people are saying there really probably wouldn't be an audible difference between 1500-1800 to 2000-2200, so now I am deciding between the Crescendo and the Q1200 I think in order to save my electrical system. so far...
