daimer Posted October 6, 2015 Report Share Posted October 6, 2015 You put some small things on the cone (if it is firing upwards) and test on different tones on low volume. I personally use wire ferrules, because you can easily hear them rattle. When these things stop making noise at one frequency and rattle at the others - that's your tuning.And good luck with the experiments, always enjoy these kind of things. Anyhow, a little update: The TL meter left Texas this morning and should be here tomorrow! I will be getting the wood and cutting tomorrow Thursday will be finalizing assembly and some testing before class.
