Allen Lancos Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 In reference to the remote bass control/knob - is there a way to reduce bass output down to 0 without adjusting anything on the head unit itself? Reason i ask is there are some songs i listen too where the balance between music and bass are rediculous. I can have the bass knob turned all the way down and still cant hear the audio side of the music! I would love some kind of remote control feature with full adjustability "from no bass to full bass" if its even possible... I am currently having to manually go into my audio settings in the head unit to adjust bass levels, the standard remote bass knob i have (+/- 18db) isnt enough adjustment! Thanks in advance for any help! Current amp is a Rockford P1000 Sone to be installed amp is an NS1 once i finish buying everything! Tired of seeing this amp just sit here! I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
3vil Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 You want something like the PAC LC-1. Instead of adjusting the level of bass boost, which is what your current knob does, it lowers the input signal going to the amp. Only real down side is you'll need to run a second RCA, but only from your HU to the knob http://www.amazon.com/PAC-LC-1-Remote-Amplifier-Controller/dp/B0002J226O
Allen Lancos Posted October 25, 2015 Author Report Posted October 25, 2015 As long as that will give me full bass level control from 0% to 100% that would be perfect! I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
3vil Posted October 25, 2015 Report Posted October 25, 2015 First you turn the knob to 100%, then you properly set your amp gain. After that, when ever you turn down the knob you're actually lowering the input voltage going to the amp. The knob your currently using only adjusts the bass boost of your amp, it doesn't actually lower the signal at all
Allen Lancos Posted October 27, 2015 Author Report Posted October 27, 2015 Does this thing have to be wired at the head unit or can it be done at the amp? I'll do body filler all day every day, but this reinforced, fortified fucking kitty hair can kiss my balls.
Rich Schenk Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 you want a lc-1. will give u zero bass to max bass. dont think it would matter as long as it is in between hu and amp. just need longer rcas.
