poorfish88 Posted December 4, 2015 Report Posted December 4, 2015 I wad being nice, but not now. Ampere audio will shut all over audiopipe.
rayning lead Posted December 4, 2015 Author Report Posted December 4, 2015 Haha ok thanks I'll have to report back with results when I get it. Will 2 group 31s be enough? And should I get a ho alt?
RainStryke Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Just picked up one of these: http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/twisted-sounds-ts1-8k-1800w-monoblock-bass-amplifier/ AMP dyno birth sheet showed nearly 2200w certified @ 14.4v, 2400 uncertified @ 14.4v. Not sure if I just got lucky, but this thing weighs a ton. Just checked... looks like they are still doing the 15% off with promo. If you are willing to wait till Jan, you can get the 3500 version for $680 with that promo on a pre-order.
rayning lead Posted December 5, 2015 Author Report Posted December 5, 2015 3500 would probably be to much for one lol. Think it's going to be a ampere 2k or q12200 which ever I find for the right price. Still wondering about alternator situation
RainStryke Posted December 5, 2015 Report Posted December 5, 2015 Between those two, I'd definitely go for the Ampere 2K. Looks like Droppinhzaudio is still doing their promotions to get you that AA 2k for $450... That's as cheap as you will pretty much ever see them brand new. As for an alternator, I'd price one with Mechman for your Yukon.
rayning lead Posted December 5, 2015 Author Report Posted December 5, 2015 Ok I'll get the aa2k then and I was wondering what size I would need for this application alternator wise. There's a guy that builds them near me just don't know what amperage I needed
RainStryke Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 Mechman has 6 phase hairpin alternators... very rare any local shops near you are going to compare to those. Here is a little info on Mechman: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/86092-what-makes-mechman-alternators-different/
