Triticum Agricolam Posted December 16, 2015 Report Share Posted December 16, 2015 If the port is on the side of the box (say to the far right sharing 3 walls of the box), it needs to be minimum of the port width off the wall. If the port is in the middle with a chamber per side (a center port), you can get away with half the port width (since it splits to each chamber). So if you you're doing a 2 common wall center port and your width is 10 inches, you can be 5 inches away from the rear wall and still be ok? If this is correct, my life just became much easier..... You would probably be OK from an airflow perspective, but it will most likely lower your tuning some.
