vortecfanatic57
Was wondering if a mechman adjustable voltage control module will work on a new 220 amp powermaster alternator. My voltage starts up at 14.4 then drops to 13.7 hot. Want it at least 14.9 or 15.0. I already have the XS Power 3400 series battery. Smoove
I used the AVBM on my Powermaster 200amp alt. but I only turned it up at Bass meets or competitions.http://www.mechman.com/accessories/voltage-control-modules/adjustable-voltage-boost-module-for-gm-4-pin-oval-plug/ Quote 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
vortecfanatic57
Nice. Where do you keep your voltage set at?
Smoove
When demoing, I'd set it at 14.7 at idle. And then put it back to it's hot temp of 13.8 at the end of the meet. I live in PHX, you dont wanna charge hot batteries at high voltage for too long.I run a Mechman 370 now Quote 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/
vortecfanatic57
Yah I live in South Tx, so it gets real hot here too. In the mornings it's almost at 15.3 cold then drops to 14.0-13.9 hot. If I set the voltage at about 14.5 hot will it stay set there or will it go higher than 15.3 when cold? I don't want to go higher than that in the morning.
