forrest_siems Posted December 31, 2015 Report Posted December 31, 2015 So I just recently upgraded my amp from an audiopipe 1800 and 4ga wire to a sundown scv-2000 and sundown 0 gauge. My old audiopipe would clip around 40% gain with head unit sub level set to +5 of +15. Got everything hooked up and set gains with a multimeter (I know there are better methods) and couldn't get hardly any good output. I literally have to crank the gain to almost max and set sub to +11 of +15 on the headunit to get any decent output and then it doesn't even seem like clean power. What could be wrong? All I did was swap wiring and amp.

I unplugged old amp, removed old power wire, installed new power wire then plugged up the new amp. Did my rcas decide to just randomly crap out. Can they do that?

Ones that have that fabric braided around them if you know what I mean. I've heard certain Amps don't like certain rcas as well?
