sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 this sucks. i love my 15s. it sounds incredible but i know it can be better
sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 my current box is 38'' wide by 16.25'' high by 32'' deep. but that's two boxes bolted together. i am interest in a similar cut sheet only with a port.
sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 my original plan was 6 18s in this blazer and people said i was crazy. i say where there is a will there is a way
Miguels Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 but you want the back seat.. there is no way that will happen my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 ok so i checked youtube and there are a bunch of blazers with 4 15s and back seats...bunches of them. even some with 4 18s..so why cant i?
andru Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 for 4 ev 15s you would need 13 cubes without sub displacement or the port
Miguels Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 because you dont know how much are they losing by doing that.. that you can do it yes.. just cut wood with holes in it and youre done.. will they perform like they should.. no they wont.. you need subs that work in smaller enclosures my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 my box now is 4.6cu ft per sub. and it fits just fine in my truck. im just missing being able to put back seats in my about 1 inch. so my box could just be deeper to make up for it?
sendcliffmail Posted January 14, 2016 Author Report Posted January 14, 2016 sundown audio support told me i need 2.5 cu ft per sub for proper perfomance
andru Posted January 14, 2016 Report Posted January 14, 2016 i would start plugging numbers into calculators, don't forget when you figure out your port dimensions to plug them into the box calc to get the volume that the port consumes http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp#rec
