Joe X Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 You need more space, 18x34x19 would be one option.
punchy Posted January 23, 2016 Author Report Posted January 23, 2016 Ya that would work I just wanted to have a lil trunk room but that well work lol
Joe X Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 So here is a suggestion, if the box takes all width and height of the trunk then do subs / port forward, sealed off, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 3 1/2", figure is just an assembly guide:NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside.
punchy Posted January 23, 2016 Author Report Posted January 23, 2016 Ok cool is that going to be batter then where the subs are on the same side and the port is all the way on the right or left ?
Esgedi Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Ok cool is that going to be batter then where the subs are on the same side and the port is all the way on the right or left ? No, but mainly because with his design there will be a lot of port turbulence. If you aren't too concerned with port noise though it wouldn't really make much difference. Joe X Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 When firing forward the port in the middle will usually not be blocked by the car bracing as much as with the port on the side, you may want to fold down your rear seats and take a look, if you can fire everything back then there's no issue doing port on the side if you prefer that.

Not an issue if your port area is large enough and you have done the 45s inside the port.
punchy Posted January 23, 2016 Author Report Posted January 23, 2016 Ya im at Taco Cabana right now with all my seats folded down and its just a big ass rectangle so a side port will definitely work
