I just Installed 6 12" dual voice coil 4 ohm subs and I am getting a 1.4 ohm load can I do anything to drop that a little closer to 1 ohm because correct me if I am wrong but I am not pulling the full 1 ohm rated power off the amp at 1.4 Ohm and if that is the case I am not running enough power to the subs. So any one have an tricks ? you can wire below 1ohm, but I will not recommend that. 1.4 is the best you can get without going lower. You won't get the "full 1ohm rated power" anyways because the world doesn't work that way. The impedance is constantly changing with music, and is always higher than what you measure when there is no signal going to the subs. So, leave it wired to 1.4ohm, and be happy, and you won't even know the difference if you were to be wired to 1ohm instead.
