Question for you experts

PA amp like an iNuke, Crown, or Behringer (many more). They dont break the bank and deliver alot more power than a plate amp will. Also, the inuke has built in DSP. If you do a simple fan mod to these amps they will run quiet and stay just as cool.

This is a great starter thread on how to build a nice subwoofer for home without spending alot. There wont be many off the shelf or ID subwoofers that will get you the bandwidth or loudness you desire. Going from car audio to home is tough when it comes to expectations about loudness .

Thanks for all the input guys! I'll look into it all! This is really a just for fun kinda thread/project, at least for the party speaker! I'll look into those for my home audio subwoofer though!
