Jhensley209
I'm going to buy one 15 and I'm looking to spend 500 to 600. I was thinking about getting an fi sp4 but are there any other subs in that price range that would be a better deal? It's going in the trunk of a small 4 door car

ShadeTreeMechanic
I have heard of people putting crazy power through a Soundqubed HDC415 but I don't know if it is in the same category as the fi. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
RainStryke
I actually had a co-worker just buy a HDC415 and put it in a Dodge Stratus paired with two SoundQubed 2200.2's. Tons of great subwoofers in that range, the Fi SP4 is an excellent choice. Here are a few others: DC Audio XL 15, Ascendant Audio Mayhem 15, Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15, and SSA Evil 15. I wouldn't suggest strapping amps, i'd actually suggest selling your Audiopipe and going with something like this: http://www.droppinhzcaraudio.com/sound-magus-vs3500-1-high-performance-class-d-5-ohm-stable-mono-bass-amplifiers/ It's just easier to run one amp than two... Also, looking into this range, do you have a decent enough electrical system to handle that kind of power or are you still running a stock alternator? Jhensley209
I was actually looking at the hdc415 also and it looks like a good sub that can handle some power. As far as the amps I have ran strapped before and didn't have any problems with it. I am running stock still in this car but will be upgrading as soon as I have everything I need. RainStryke
Personally, i'd rather run a HDC415 on something like a SoundMagus VS3500 at .5OHM since they can crank out just under 4K set-up like that. But you will need a high output alternator and a large second, possibly third battery. As things are right now, my system is louder than my co-workers system that has the two strapped SoundQubed 2200.2's and he also has more battery reserve and a higher output alternator than me. We've checked his wiring and set-up about 5 times now and we can't figure out why... Other than the amps are probably not doing anywhere near rated.
