This shows the wiring inside the box, nothing special.

Looking nice.

If I may suggest something, I would get a nut and blot to hold those wires instead of a couple of screws. They may back out and then you'll end up with loose connections and have to get back in there again. Just a suggestion.

Thank you.

That was actually my original plan. Then I managed to get terminal rings that were too small for the bolts that I bought. It sucks not having a "bucket of bolts" like I always did when I lived with my parents. I'm now working on correcting that, all random screws and nuts are thrown into a coffee can.

I'll bolt the wires like you suggested before it's all said and done.

Time for another update, this will show some of the progress I made yesterday.

First off, toss the amp rack I built on Sunday, it just wasn't going to do the job. I have no idea why PPI couldn't center the emblems on their amps.

Next was try a couple of other layouts.

I ended up deciding to angle the PPI's with a small viewing panel. I ordered the polycarbonate lexan for it today.

I love how this piece looks. I hate that I'll only be able to see a 1/2" or so of it once I make the cover panel.

Next was the sub cover panel.

Unfortuantely once I built it I discovered that I had to cut it in half to get in in the vehicle. I only managed to get one side of it vinyled yesterday before it got dark. I'll do the left side this coming weekend.

I had to take a picture of the amps last night. I've still got to work on positioning a little but I'm much happier with it than I was with the previous attempt.

Nice progress.

That stinks about the logo's not being centered! I think them all lined up straight across with the MS8 looked a bit better.

Keep up the good work.

Coming together real nice fella

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

I just have to say that I find it somewhat amusing that every time I think I'm done spending money I end up on Parts Express or Amazon placing another order.

So far this week I have ordered the following:

1/4" Polycarbonate lexan 6"x34"

1/4" Polycarbonate lexan 16"x16" (had to meet the minimum $30 order)

Six 3/4" neodymium magnets

CA glue

CA Accelerator

ANL fuse holder

Cable ties with screw mounts

Two NVX RCA cables

Two 8 position Terminal blocks

Black & Decker Jig Saw

Three M6x100mm screws

14 Sq feet KnuKonceptz Kno Knoise deadener

I just came inside after spending a few hours working in freezing temps, upper teens, low twenties. I did manage to get some work done though. I have to admit, I suck at making trim panels but I'm doing my best. I think once vinyl the pieces tomorrow it will look alright.

First off, amp cover panel.

To finish it off I used a rabbet bit on the underside to make it easier to wrap and rounded off the amp viewing cutout. I did the cutout 1/4" larger than the lower panel to show off the accent vinyl on the lower piece.

I also made the top cover panel to go on top of the sub box. It's not that exciting so I only took one picture.
