Buying (2) Odyssey Pc1500dt Tomorrow

Recommended Posts

Well both make killer batteries... Cant go wrong either way. I have 10 HC2400s right now, but Ill be switching to Powermaster later on when I have the money. Goin 16v. One of the main reasons is because Kinetiks team pricing is so damn expensive now. It damn near doubled. Honestly, for how much the new Kinetik pricing is, Id rather just go with 16v Powermasters XS1000s and be even louder.

i never used powermaster but ive used the kinetik 600s and they do great...so i could only imagine the 800s, 1400s and up are that much better

F*** the lawsuit

What, Hifonics is gonna sew sony because they dont do rated power

Gay

Kinetik is good stuff period

You should read details of the lawsuit. If you did I don't think you would "f the lawsuit". They are suing them because these other companies was putting out wrong info on their company. I don't think Pmaster give 2 shits of what Kinetik says that Kinetik can do.

my question was kinda also geared towards powermaster to begin with

i want to know if i would need the extra amps, and longer reserve capacitance when im only powering ~1400w rms max, and farther down the line an interior amp (undecided on brand... rf or sundown)

on stock alt, stock bat, and stinger spv35, my voltage drops to 11v

i have 200a Ho Alt, and im looking for 13.5v at full tilt, daily driver

also

i want identical batteries

and i cant go bigger than a khc1400 or d1200, and i really dont think anything else compares..... maybe stinger but idk

and its a total of $120 difference

  • 4 weeks later...

funny thing happened which ended up working out for the best...

accidently used a credit card to buy powermaster that for some reason was accepted, but i cancelled it 3 weeks ago, i just didnt realize i used that one... so i dont have bats coming

but

i talked to Battery Service Group in Chicago and found out some info

powermaster and odyssey are the same batts, powermaster rebadges them, from Enersys the buildhouse

(i might not have the full story/explanation but the gist of it is that the odyssey is just as good, plus it has dual terminals for my stock gm batt location)

they use the same technology except odyssey offers a wider variety of applications

so tomorrow im going to Bensenville to buy (2) Odyssey PC1500DT

best part about it, its bigger than kinetik1400 + powermaster1200 and has the highest aH, reserve and short circuit

and its the cheapest!!!

hooray for mistakes!
