lil update on mine, got it installed last weekend, this weekend it cut off a few times, not sure what happened exactly. it cut out then turned back on after about 6 seconds, did it multiple times. not sure if vibration was to much for it or what

damn that sux... was your amp mounted on your sub box? i have heard issues of amps cutting out because of this..

if it wasnt, maybe your RCAs were not pushed in all the way? or , maybe they just dont stay tight once plugged in? ive had this happen to me once as well.. rcas would wiggle out with vibration or the slightest tug so easily..swapped out for a different brand and everything worked like a charm.

or perhaps your wiring is loose somewhere and , as you said, the vibration is making it loose contact?

it could even be a bad groud or insufficient power?

if its NONE of those things and its the amp itself, thats not very reassuring news to hear..i remember when i questioned NVX about their JAD vs the PPI they said theirs was better build quality and they get much more people calling back for warranty/repair issues and problem with the PPI vs their JAD. In my head i said "of course this is what they will say". But, aesthetically, the JAD does look better to me, so i can give them that.

let me know if you figure out what is wrong and if the problem is solved or not

thanks

i checked all connections and everything was tight, im using 8 input 0 gauge battery terminals so i would think if there was an issue at that end my deck and sub amp would also cut out, rcas good to, I just lose all mids and highs for about 6 seconds, and i dont have it mounted to the box i have it mounted next to sub amp on a large piece of wood bolted to the floor in hatch. it has only happened at high volume and what I remember as low bass situations

I am a little concerned about it since I had a infinity 475a there and it went for 9 years without issue, had this for a week and already having a problem.

hmm i dont see how it could be heat when supposedly u can run 2 ohms on each channel. and im only using 3 channels at 4 ohms per channel, 1 4x6 blew a while back and i removed it

it did it again today tho a couple times, i may try to retune it with smd could it possibly be shutting off due to clipping? like i said tho i set it with smd dd-1

its only when im really pounding it, i may try to figure out some rubber rings or something to mount under it and see if that helps at all, checked all connections again, seems all tight.

I am using the same wire to turn on both sub amp and 4 channel amp but dunno if that would be an issue
