I guess you could say I'm a noob in the car audio world. I recently bought a soundqubed hds315 and an audiopipe apcl 1500.1. I have the sub wired at 1ohm and its sitting in a 4 cubic foot ported box at 32hz. My question here is how to I correctly tune my amp. I've never had to tune one before. My last system was installed by a friend and was also tuned by him. I'm not a 100% sure he knew what he was doing but knew more than I did. I need some guidance please. I'm not a complete idiot so no bs is needed. Thanks.

This would take to long to type all out u need a DMM and go to YouTube and type set amp gains with DMM , U also need to down load an Ohm's law app. It's not that complicated . Or Mr. Meade sells a DD-1 u can buy.

The issue with the DMM method is that there's no way to correct for distortion. If OP wants set his gains cleanly, he's either going to need a DD-1, a scope, or some analog wave analyzer. The DMM method instantly falls down because you have no idea at what output voltage/gain factor your amplifier stops putting out a clean wave and starts squaring or sawtoothing the wave. Op, if you can't afford a DD-1, hop on some forums/facebook groups and see if anyone near you has one.

Don't trust a shop but you personally just smoked two decks, makes sense.
