European Amps

Hi all,

Here's a little run down of brands of amps that I owned and used up till now (nothing fancy but certainly got my bang for buck)

Pioneer, Old Rockford, Diamond, Skar, Soundqubed and a few cheap generic brands.

Recently, I saw a few local workshop installations and came across these brands Gladen (germany) Mosconi (italy) Genesis (no idea) and Audison (that I've heard but never owned)

My question is according to a youtube clip (

) testing these amps to see the difference of sound when wired into same speakers. They were saying it has more crisp, better vocal etc. My question is do they really produced better sound quality? I mean they should certainly give better heat resistance and I suppose true power instead of max. power.

Would a $1000 4 ch amp be the same as say a Rockford 4 ch amp provided they have the same output numbers. They are not over the top expensive but are they really worth the money?

Well I'm no expert of car or home audio and I like bass more than anything but there are still times that you would tone down and listen to music instead of just bass.

All the brands you mentioned are most of the time used in SQ/SQL builds, i would not even dare to compare them with most of the brands you have had(except with maybe the older d series from Diamond).

A fancy brand name and a way high price tag don't make it better suited for sq.

music is a subjective thing.. what sounds good to me sounds crappy to others.. as an example all of the brands that you said ,nobody ever used to much ,or at all in my circle of friends.. other than fosgate.. some were priced too high some were like hell naw . rf isint the end all and be all . of those brands but i will tell you i will NOT use rf again for an amp.

an example.

a hemi vs a chevy vs a ford engine.. one sounds different than the other but say make the same hp. i like the way a mustang sounds BUT its just an x or h pipe on it that makes it sound that way. some like it . some say its too loud. its all in what YOU think works for you .
