ChilliChicken Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Ok, so here is my plan. Current Setup right now is 2 SA-12's running at 1 ohm on a C2 audio recon 1.6. Approx pushing 2000 watts rms. My current setup is a stock batt/alt, my alt puts out 110 amps. As it sits right now with my subs on for approx 5 mins, my voltage drops below 12. I was thinking of upgrading my battery to a yellow top, dropping an AGM battery in the trunk, and upgrading to a 160 amp alt (thats the biggest I could get for my car) as well as the Big 4. Would I potentially be able to run my system by doing the above upgrades? Any order in particular?
Jake Miles Mckeehan Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 Upgrading the alt will help, upgrading the battery plus one more will also be a good help. the alt is #1 then big 3 comes with the alt. when your done with that it will be all good to go.
ChilliChicken Posted March 15, 2016 Author Report Posted March 15, 2016 Yeah, I'm just trying to do the best with what I can work with. They don't make High Output Alternators for my car (Called Mechman, Singer and Irregi) and none of them could do it. Don't really feel like custom mounting one either. So if the 160 amp alt could power it, I guess I'd be rocking.
Jake Miles Mckeehan Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 youll be all good, you dont need a 300+alt it. just make sure you wire everything correctly and it will be all good.
CstrokerV Posted March 15, 2016 Report Posted March 15, 2016 drop in a good agm not yellow top and the alt and you will be good my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
