Quick sub and amp question

OK I wasn't sure where to ask this and this definitely is NOT a vs question.

I have a Kenwood 1800max(900rms@2ohms I think) amp powering two kicker compR 12's with the switch set to 4ohms so together they're at 2ohms at the amp. My question is, do you think this amp is right for these subs or should I look for one with a bit more power or what? Please give your honest expertise/opinion on this set up and what you may do differently to get it to perform at its best w/out being over powered.

Also it's in a dual slot vented box with 2.25qubes per chamber tuned to 35hz, don't know if that helps but there it is lol.

Do you have the specs for the Kickers?

Edit: I see you answered as I was posting. If they are 800rms each, then you're looking for a 1600w rms amp to fully utilize them. Maybe even a bit more like 2000w depending on your supporting electrical, box rise, and such. Plus a little extra headroom never hurts, you can always dial the gain back from max clean power.

OK spec sheet reads as follows:

Zn/ohm sign - 2/4

[fs]/Hz - 32.6

[sPLo],db@1w,1m - 86.9

[Qts] - .648

[Qms] - 8.166

[Qes] - .703

[Re]/ohm sign - 3.5

[Vas]/ft3[L] - 2.3[65.294]

Spec sheet says 500rms but the box it came in says 800rms so I'm scratching my head on that one. Some research turned up some people running them at 800rms with no problems or distortion at all but they too asked why spec sheet says 500rms but kicker rates them at 800rms
