I am planning to upgrade my amp from a Hifonics BEX1750.1D to a Kicker CXA1200.1D I am pushing a SoundQubed HDS312 in a ported SPL enclosure tuned to 43 hz. The kicker amp has a built in SSF set to 25 hz. Is that too low for a box tuned to 43 hz? I'm just concerned the sub may unload too far and bottom out.

i would say if you tune to 43 and are going for SPL, you should know better than to play stuff below tuning. But 25 is way too low for a 43hz tune

I'm guessing 33hz is where your infrasonic filter should be if your tuned that high. If the sub starts unloading bump it up to like 35

I believe the rule is a half octave below tuning.
