Alright iv seen some boxes with alot of cotton placed inside why is this done?

they use the cotton or polyfill in the sealed boxes cuz it makes the sub think that its in a bigger box, giving somewhat of an increase in the output(spl)

well iv been needing to build my own box for my 15" ma audio right now its in a 2.3 prefab box :( but im going to be upgrading subs soon hopefully so no need in making a new one

I used to loosely pack it. Not too dense or it defeats the purpose. Can't even remember the last sealed box I built, almost everything I build is ported or bandpass... If built properly I don't see the need for any.

ok i went an bought 20oz of polyfil and put it all in and it was either that or my new location of my box but it is louder enough to were i can notice quite abit
