I have done port forward and back in my car and I thought back was louder, just depends on your car. Never had it metered but it was noticeably louder with port back. Just make sure to give it plenty of port area, those subs are gonna move some air. You're gonna need lotttttsssss of sound deadening. are these 12's, 10's, 15's I'm not aware of many trunks, even an impala that can fit 4 15's ported with a large enough box.
