solar0987 Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 Atm have a black ice 2600.1 running a 12" l7. It does its job. Going to strap it with another one. It only takes 4 guage, so I only did 4 guage upgrade on big 3. When adding another amp and probably a battery in trunk also. Should I run o guage to the battery in back to a distribution block, and run 4 guage from there? Or will I be fine with the 4 guage? I will reugrade big 3 if i need 2. Stock alternator is 120 amp so im ok there. Its a 2008 saturn astra hatchback. I used to be really into car audio years back. So much has changed.. I bought the L7 cause back then that was beast and I had 1 10 hit 138 in a probe. Im finding out well there meh....

ShadeTreeMechanic Posted April 14, 2016 Report Posted April 14, 2016 When adding another battery, I would re do the big 3 with 1/0 and also run 1/0 to the battery. Make sure you put a fuse at each battery. In the event of an accident, the batteries will need to disconnect from the 1/0 if it gets pinched.
