akuma4u Posted April 27, 2016 Report Posted April 27, 2016 Hey, can someone do a box design for a 4th order for 2 SA 12s on 2000rms for me? i was told 1 cube sealed for each sub and 4 cubes ported , then i was told something else by someone else.. not sure what would be better also, what frequency should it be tuned at? i know 4ths give a wide band.. but not sure where the tuning should be.. 35hz-50hz is where im most interested in... if i can get more than that great! also the port should be facing UP as it will be coming up through the rear deck. I know many videos i see with 4ths on 2 sa12s on youtube, everyone has the port facing forward but i dont think i have that option as the hole is so small in that area plus i have already created a large hole in the rear deck from a previous build. thanks for the help!

Or is this for another vehicle? 4th order band pass boxes CAN have wide bandwidth, but they can also be peaky one note wonders. It depends on how they are designed. Wide bandwidth comes at the cost of reduced efficiency (output).
