What is the rule for slot ports if they are in the center/middle of the box. I have 22" for depth and port needs to be 17" deep. It leaves 5" of space from back wall. Is that enough?

Robert North Posted May 26, 2016 Author Report Posted May 26, 2016 Alright got the box built. Houses 6 12". I put the box in the suburban to test fit. Even tried it out. I have to still make the trim pieces to seal it off. The question i have? I have seen people completely seal it off ie.fiberglass sealed and i have seen people. Trim with just panels and cover the trim with material and made sure its secure. Will there be a difference in sound and/or quality.
