OrionStang
Im considering using an external aero port so I can squeeze a 12 in the trunk. Do very long external ports sound different or "off"? The term that comes to mind is delay. If I have a 16" external aero, sub port forward, will the "sound" from the sub and port arrive at the same time. Didn't search them, but I recall a couple trunk builds where the port damn near reached the front seats. Part of me is saying dumb question, but I really want to know lol. Jessica
i think i know what you are talking about, i will say my aero is fully external but its on the same plane as my sub an more or less equal distance. Seems to work ok to me. I think what you are talking about is more like taylor fade type of stuff though? Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Triticum Agricolam
If the port and the sub are really far apart there can be issues with them integrating with each other, 16" isn't going to be a problem though. It would have to be several feet away, the lower you have your port tuned, the farther away it can be.
