Clownrock95 Posted May 24, 2016 Report Share Posted May 24, 2016 https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4xzja45d2d0mb11/AADiZf1-YqsnBKzyrMvgvcTVa?dl=0 revision 3 of my box is kind of cheating as i took the nvx design for the vcw12 subwoofer but i flipped the subs to the top and i plan on 45'ing the inside and glassing (see below) i have acouple questions 1. will moving the woofers cause any problems? 2. would fiber glassing the inside be necessary is i plan to take the box in and out frequently (other than alittle more time and money cant think of a down side) 3. i would assume it would have proper tuning port area and displacement but whats yalls opinion Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Triticum Agricolam Posted May 25, 2016 Report Share Posted May 25, 2016 That design should work fine. It looks to be tuned to about 32 Hz and has adequate port area. Moving the woofers to the top should be no issue. Fiberglassing is probably unnecessary. For a box like that its not really going to add much strength, its main benefit would to be help seal up the box better, but there are cheaper and easier ways to do that if its needed.
