Joseph Turner Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Looking for ideas on ways to mount 18" subs,besides the holes around the edge. Are there clamps? Mine broke the mounting bolts and I want to move away from the original holes to get a better bite.

Joseph Turner Posted June 16, 2016 Author Report Posted June 16, 2016 Just not enough meat to use the holes in the basket. Was hoping there was brackets that could clamp around the edges, further out from the center.
ericholmes408 Posted June 16, 2016 Report Posted June 16, 2016 utility hooks work great for this. they also help when mounting heavy subs. they look like the letter L with threads on the long end. with the sub in place trace an outline around basket then drill your pilot holes and insert the hooks. when they get about half way you"ll need a pair of vice grips to turn the hooks. once they make contact with the basket that subs not going ANYWHERE! this also works good if you have heavy subs inverted on a wall.
