joe x, help with designing enclosure for dc audio level 3 12"

Recommended Posts

Hey man, I was looking around and saw that you are a really big help for enclosure building for other members. I had my previous enclosure for my SMD 18 designed by RAM designs but he isn't able to make any designs now as he is really busy. Anyway, I wanted to see if you could help me with a design for a 12" DC audio level 3 sub that will be running on around 1200-1400w rms of power (yes I know it is a ton of power going to it but I am using a DD1 and a CC1 for my setup and have a vu-din to monitor the output going to the sub.)

For my enclosure I am looking to tune around 30-35Hz and the max dimensions I am looking to stay within are 16" for width, 16" for height and 16" for depth. If needed I can adjust the sizes of them as my old enclosure was a lot bigger but i'd prefer a smaller enclosure. I am aiming to have as small of an enclosure as possible so it can be light enough that I can remove the enclosure from my truck when needed for cargo area.

I will pay you through paypal for your idea on it if you'd like since it is your time to help me with the enclosure.

Thanks in advance!!

edit: I forgot to add, if you can I also wouldn't mind running an aero port setup on my enclosure as opposed to a slotted port. Any bit of weight savings I would be willing to take but I am going to run 3/4" birch for the wood.
