box help for xfl 15s

I got 2 xfl 15s and need to know if these subs will be OK in a box 6.0 cubic feet total and 42hz. It's 17x40x24. Will they be loud in this box

Or would this be better. Theres a 200 dollar price difference is the reason im asking.

17.5"H x 38"W x 22"D. 6.67^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 16"H x 3"W @32Hz. After all displacement, 6.0^3ft net volume

Not sure about box specs and those subs. Is that net volume or gross?

Tuning is too high for my taste but it might match your needs just fine. However, you left out the port area. Get that to help as wel.

The first one I listed is a prefab and does not have that listed in the description I've checked. I'm leaning towards the one built for it but at 300 bucks I'm also very tempted to go buy some lumber and start working I've got the tools just lack the knowledge in sub box designs and how they work to get the right tuning and all that

You'll more than likely be more satisfied with something that is built and designed specifically for that specific sub and the power you're running on it rather than a prefab. That and it would probably be much cheaper. Hopefully you'll learn something along the way too!
