Frank H
My friend has two Rockford p3 12s on a Rockford 1500bdcp in the trunk of a 90s sentra. Max space is 37x16x16. I know it's small, but will be bigger than his prefab he has them in now. Thinking slot port driver side. Subs back port back. Other thought would be octaport for space and efficiency but it would have to face sideways and be towards the back of trunk (I mean towards front of car but facing sideways, make sense?) Because the port would need to be longer than the 16 inch depth. Which would you build? How much port area do you recommend? How much net cubes? Thinking of tuning 34ish. Any recommendations would be great! Yellow1000
I ran a similar setup to that except I went 1.3 each tuned at 35 and they seemed to get hot easily. Except I was on a P1000 amp.
alaskanzx5
Softer suspension and well over powered. You need a 1.75 after displacement and the xmax is smaller on the subs so as a guess 20-30" port area per sub. I'm surprised they haven't given out yet. Giving them peak power consistently. An over sized box is going to loose a lot of mechanical control over the sub. You need it at that power level. Just trashed one that was running at 700watts in a larger box. Failed mechanically. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
