So I'm looking at best ways to connect. My dsp has an optical input.

Would it be possible.to connect the fiio straight to the dsp using 3.5mm jack to optical? Yes I found that adapter but is it worth doing it that way

would offer the least amount of processing, which is good.

edit: meaning the more you process the signal, whether it be digital or analog, the more degraded it will be. If you run it through your HU, you'll run the signal

Digital > Analog to the HU

HU will turn it back into Digital, go through DSP (in the 80prs at least)

HU will then turn it back into analog then send the signal to your DSP

Your DSP will turn the signal back into Digital, process it, then back to analog again before sending it to your amps.

If you go from the FIIO optical to the DSP, it basically stays digital all the way through until it gets processed by the DSP, then analog before it gets to your amps. you skip a whole fucking lot of D>A>D>A>D>A which hurts it just a little each step.

Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
