Questions about sub placement, and enclosure bottom thickness.

So I'm building a box for 4 ct sound strato 8's. I'm building it to 1.25" thick mdf wood (3/4" and 1/2"). This is going in a single cab stepside s10 blow through. Since the box will be getting bolted down in the bed. Can I get away with making the floor on 3/4" since it wont have much flex that way. The other question is can I get away with building a 3/4" spacer to mount the subs to, this will allow me to get the subs a little close to the inside of the cab. I know this will take a little bit of the displacement the subs have away, which doesn't really affect much. What I want to know is will it affect how it plays since the sub mounting depth is a little of 5" but the sub will be mounted in to 2" of wood before it hits air space. The ports will be an additional 1/2" farther into the cab since I will be putting a 1/2" trim ring around the subs to make them flush mount. I honestly do not think it will have a negative effect.

3/4" on the floor will be sufficient. I'm no blow through expert but seems like a lot of work for 8's. why did you go that route instead of 12's?

I wanted to try something different. I have had systems with 4 10s, 2 12s, 2 15s, and an 18. I'm also getting a good deal on the 8s

You should probably route out the rear of the mounting holes a bit so they have some room to breathe.

+1 for 3/4 being fine for the bottom.
