Whytttyger Posted October 3, 2016 Report Posted October 3, 2016 It's what I ended up with, every vehicle of mine had had 2 p3s, up to this point when I ended up with 4 in an explorer. Anyway the ported boxes they are in, which are more than likely some universal dimension, do no justice, I have to believe, to their capabilities. What I know I have learned from forums and trial and error. Yet to build a box, ironically I'm a carpenter,and I don't wanna build something that's not of high caliber nature. Which is why I am here. Any help is much appreciated, oh and for me personally, I like my ish loud and accurate. I may not have the best subs, but I've read it's also about the box. Thanks

When I'm not sure exactly, hopefully u get the gist

Smaller, lower-tuned ported boxes tend to be less peaky and have generally better sound quality. A sealed box may work well too, but you would give up a lot of low frequency output.
