XPLODR
So I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and I am wondering will it be possible to wall the c pillar only with 2 15s?Right now I am looking at having a battery bank of 2 d3400s and Kintik HC2400 (eww mismatched batteries I know how awful!).My amp is Soundigital 5k then my amp for my mids is Crescendo Symphony s1500.1f (yes a monoblock mid amp). The subs are Crescendo Contralto 15s.Trying to play it all out in my head if everything is gonna fit in my c pillar cargo area... fecupe2001
Yes it can be done, lots of room for that, i had 2 15s on the back of my explorer and worked just fine, if you want that box design be my guest: 16.5"h x 40"w x 28"d with double baffle on top, subs up/ ports back using 3 6" full lenght aeros, i always design my boxes according to the car, power, subs, etc etc, but on my explorer, not matter how much power or what subs i used, that box was awesome from about 28 to 55 hz bandwith, that´s in case if you´re looking for daily boxes, spl box is very different, cheers I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. Wasteland_Audio
do you have the dimensions of the c-pillar area? I would need height, top, mid, and bottom width. I already know the cargo dimensions as I built a box for the same truck already, I just need to know what the baffle would need to be shaped like. should be easy to fit as you'll only need 9 cubes max.
