Bumpin in my G6 Posted November 4, 2016 Author Report Posted November 4, 2016 Ok, will it be ok if I put the new speaker in place of the one that doesn't work, unplug the wires from the old working speaker, and just use the new sub in a box built for two until I can save up for another one?
boometro Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 you are supposed to fuse for the wire and not the amplifiers. all the manual is suggesting is that your fuse is at least 60a. fuse for the wire not the product.

Just because your wire can handle a specified amount of current doesn't mean your equipment can. Therefore, you should fuse for your equipment, not your wire, while using wire that can handle the amount of current you're providing the equipment safely. I don't always follow it, but knowing how it's SUPPOSED to be is better than not knowing it at all.
