crownvictoria31
Is a stock 200 amp alternator enough for a 2500-3000 watts RMS system enough? This is the stock alternator for a crown vic police interceptor.
reedal
at idle, and possibly even at a higher rpm when full volume, you may experience some voltage drop, but having a second battery may help with that. Try it out, use a group 31 size battery as a secondary, and keep an eye on the voltage while listening. if you dip into resting voltage, then an alt upgrade is recommended in my opinion. people use stock alts all the time with more power, but they have a good battery reserve too, usually.
