keep in mind those are "peak" numbers. RMS is much lower. but as always Harmon Kardon keeps the FS low and the Sensitivity high. great out the box woofers and will keep most not bassheads content.

As per the Manual, Harman rates the Infinity Kappa 800W @ 400 RMS 1600 Watts PEAK, so i can't wait to listen to these little beast lol. i am using an 12 Xcon right now, love it, it sounds great but it is to much bass for my corolla and my mids/highs. Car is gonna brake with so much rattle, great sub. i will lose a lot of bass going down to two eights but all i want is a bit low to mix with the mids, i would do the 10s but i want to save space and weight.

Just close the port of your box to let it become sealed and turn down the amp gain to an adequate level, i'm almost sure you will get what you want, you can do this test in less than 10 mins.

I have a sealed box and a vented box for it. This Xcon comes alive on a vented box, oh man! night and day, that is why i don't use the sealed box anymore after i built the vented, way better.I do keep the gains low for the sub just enough to blend with the mids. The reason i want 8's is for weight, this sub and box are 100 pounds, makes my corolla bounce on the uneven roads lol. If i had another car with better suspension i would keep the Xcon.

if 100lbs is messing with your car that much you have suspension problems.
