Battery terminal touching carpet a bad thing?

While mocking up my install i have noticed the battery terminal will be touching the underside of my seat. Do the terminals get hot? Do I have anything to worry about here? The only other option I have would be to get spacers and raise the seat. Thanks

I would worry about the springs in the seat and the frame. If your seats were to have a hole rubbed into them they could short out the battery.

Get a bit of rubber sheeting and put it over the top of the terminal (thick enough so it won't be able to easily wear through it) and you're more than good.

wrap it in electrical tape
